Rod Taft

Vice President of Manufacturing

Rod has oversight responsibility for our Big Flats, NY, Charlotte, NC and Tyler, TX facilities. He has direct oversight of special custom projects performed at all of our facilities. Since joining the company in 1985, Rod has amassed a wealth of knowledge about HVAC-R systems, and he uses that knowledge to craft the best solutions for customers’ needs. Sales Application Engineer

Tracey has been with FLE since 1996. Tracey oversees all quotes and customer inquiries. He’s also involved in the design of specialty modifications, and works at providing solutions to customers design challenges. Tracey is based at our Big Flats, New York plant, and is frequently involved with projects during the manufacturing process. Tracey visits both current and prospective customers and coordinates presentations that provide solutions for customer problems. He works closely with customers and specifying engineers to ensure that our work meets their specifications and gets on its way to them in a timely manner.

Leland Smith

Leland has direct responsibility for all standard and custom modified equipment projects performed at our Charlotte, NC facility.   Leland maintains a good working relationship with both our customers and the support engineering staff at Carrier’s Charlotte, NC facility.

He has a background in HVAC&R service and installation.  He prides himself on being able to help our customers investigate and develop solutions, custom controls and equipment to better serve their needs.

Chuck Sportsman

Customer Assurance

Prior to joining the Finger Lakes team in 2008, Chuck had amassed 30 plus years of experience in HVAC. Nineteen years was with Carrier Corp., which included manufacturing supervision, quality control in engineering, with responsibility for new products, testing and auditing. Chuck was the West zone service engineer supporting distributor service managers on 3 through 30 ton rooftop products. Chuck had also spent twelve years with Robert Madden Industries as the customer assurance manager providing warranty and technical support, as well as service training for Carrier, Bryant and Payne dealers and technicians.

Kathleen M. McGee

CFO and General Counsel

Kathleen has been with FLE since 2010, and is the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and General Counsel. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in Cleveland, Ohio in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Accounting. She then graduated from Cleveland Marshall Law School in 1978 with a Juris Doctor Degree. She was employed by one of the major national Accounting Firms in their Tax Department after obtaining her JD degree. She is a member of the bar in both Ohio and New York. Kathleen oversees and directs our company’s financial, compliance and legal functions, and is based at the Big Flats, New York Headquarters.

Sheila has been with the company since 1994. Although Sheila works in our NY office, she is responsible for customer invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable for all three FLE locations.  She is also responsible for customer order entries and assists in purchasing for the NY location, as well as various other administrative tasks. Sheila has a wealth of knowledge in both our bookkeeping area and our ERP software area.

Amy Cruz

Amy has worked for FLE since 2005.  With a degree in Business Administration, she is responsible for an order during the entire manufacturing process. She handles scheduling of our production personnel and manufacturing processes.    Amy works closely with Rod Taft, and Angel Cruz, our NY Floor Supervisor.  If you need to get a status on a current order, or get shipping information, Amy is the person to contact. Amy’s goal is to make sure FLE meets customers’ schedules and job site requirements.

Derek Parsons

IT Administrator

Derek started with FLE in 2009 and is responsible for all of FLE’s computer systems, networks and phone systems at all three plants, as well as managing the connectivity between the plants.  He maintains FLE’s email and website, and provides support to both internal and external users. He maintains all systems, including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software that we rely upon, and assures speedy and accurate communication.
